The Flower of Life

The Image

To the untrained eye, the flower of life (Fig. I9-1) looks like an interesting pattern. Closer inspection reveals nineteen perfectly interwoven circles, truly a geometric miracle. But would you ever guess that this image is the blueprint for all of creation; that contained within this pattern is literally everything—all laws of physics, all biological life forms— including all of us? Probably not. Dan Winter has conclusively shown that even emotions have geometrical shapes associated with them.

The image of the flower of life contains all of sacred geometry, the geometrical patterns that Nature uses to create everything in this reality.

One of the images contained within the flower of life is known as the fruit of life (Fig. 19.2). Thirteen systems of information come out of the fruit of life. Each of these thirteen systems produces a set of geometries that delineate and describe in detail every single aspect of our reality.

You get to these thirteen systems of information by combining female energy with male energy. In sacred geometry, curved lines are female while straight lines are male. One of these thirteen systems is created by connecting the centers of all the spheres in the fruit of life. If you do, you come up with a figure known as Metatron's Cube (Fig. I9-3).

Figure I9-3. Metatron’s Cube

Contained within Metatron's Cube are the five Platonic solids (Fig. I9-4). The criteria for Platonic solids are that all their edges are equal; they have only one surface and one angle; and their points all fit on the surface of a sphere. There are only five known shapes that can do this.

These five figures are of enormous importance, as they are the key to many patterns found throughout our reality. They are also the components of the energy fields around our bodies. One of these fields around our bodies is in the form of a star tetrahedron, and it is contained in Metatron's Cube (Fig. I9-5 and Fig. I9-6).

There is also a tube that runs through the center of the body, connecting the apexes of the star tetrahedral field.

Before we fell in consciousness I3,000 years ago, we breathed prana through this tube. Prana simultaneously comes in from the top and passes through the pineal gland, and enters from the bottom, meeting in one of the chakras. Remembering how to breathe through this tube, combined with rotating the fields around the body, produces the merkaba, a vehicle of ascension.

There are actually three star tetrahedral fields superimposed over each other around the body. One is the physical body, one is the mental body, and the third is the emotional body. This is literally so. The fields are rotated by linking together the mind, the emotions, and the physical body. The mental field spins to the left, the emotional field to the right, and the field for the body remains stationary. When these fields are rotated at very specific speeds and in a certain way, a disk pops out at the base of the spine for fifty-five to sixty feet and a sphere appears. It looks like a flying saucer.

This field is known as the merkaba. It is the original creation pattern of the universe on all levels of existence. It is how we got here and it is how we will leave.

The word "Mer" means counter-rotating fields of light; "Ka" spirit; and "Ba" is body or reality. So the Mer-Ka-Ba is a counter-rotating field of light that takes both body and spirit with it. Once you know how to activate these fields you can use your merkaba to travel throughout the universe.

The bottom line on the Flower of Life workshop is the teaching of the merkaba and the activation of this field so that it can, at the appropriate time, be used as a vehicle of ascension.

The Workshop

In the "Completion" chapter in my first book, I told of my experiences in attending the Flower of Life workshop in April I994 in Austin, Texas, led by Drunvalo, and what an incredible experience of unity consciousness it was. This was the last time Drunvalo gave the workshop.

I also told of Drunvalo's decision to turn the workshop over to trained facilitators, and of my interest in becoming one. I realized that I was well qualified to give this workshop. My many years as a rebirther and workshop leader had pre pared me in leading people through the many changes I knew they would go through in the course of such a workshop.

From my own experience and from what I observed in the Austin workshop, I know that it puts you through many changes. The key is to provide a setting of awareness, safety, and trust in order to facilitate for people the process of moving through and integrating these changes. That is fundamentally important. Without that, there is no workshop.

So I returned to Austin in June of the same year and took a nine-day facilitator training. But I waited almost one year before I gave my first workshop.

I had decided some time earlier that instead of sitting back and wondering what I could do that I would make it my personal business to ensure that our transition from one world to the next is a gentle one. That meant taking an all-inclusive approach; it meant finding a way to be effective in a you-andme world to, as Werner Erhard said, "discover what is needed and wanted and then to produce it."t That meant finding a way to empower others. I wanted to be sure that giving the Flower of Life workshop was the right vehicle.

I was also in the final stages of letting go, of moving from conditioned motivation into divine motivation. I wanted to wait for my first book to come out, and I also wanted to see if what I was doing was real. If it wasn't, no amount of forcing the issue would work. If it was, all I had to do was sit back and allow it to happen.

I remembered Drunvalo discussing how when he first gave the Flower of Life workshop, Thoth told him to pick a remote location. That way, people with one hundred percent intention would be there, while those who weren't ready wouldn't even know there was a workshop. I liked that idea, and knowing that what the participants bring to the workshop is everything, I decided to make my workshop known primarily by word of mouth, and to those who had read my book and written to me.

It was Arnold Patent who said, "The Universe handles the details."(2) He also said, "When you are on purpose, the phone rings and you don't have to dial." The phone did begin to ring. People called and wrote to me from everywhere, and from that, I began to give the workshop.

It took me three workshops to get the kinks out, and to learn how to manage my own energy. I was totally wiped out after each of the first three workshops.

I didn't think it was possible to re-create the experience of unity I had seen in the Austin workshop, and I didn't even try. But some powerful seeds were planted, and by the fourth workshop, it just began to happen. Then it began to really happen, and it has since gone off the scale!

The workshop is a three-day experience. About four hours is spent with Drunvalo transmitting his information via video. I initially had some doubts about portions of a workshop being on video, until I realized that all the pieces were in place, and that it was actually possible to do it better this way.

I have worked with many partners in the past and have had many good experiences working this way. But Drunvalo, as it turns out, is the best partner I have ever had. Even though he is on tape, his style comes through in a way that enables everyone to have a delightful and complete experience of him. Furthermore, I know exactly what he is going to say and when he is going to say it (he is on tape, after all), so I can work with him to maximum benefit.

This creates an excellent foundation, because the workshop really happens when the video is turned off. It is the sharing, the group discussion, the individual and collective processing of energy, the teaching of the merkaba, and the merkaba meditation where the workshop really happens.
